Do you know who you want?

We all know by now that social media is about strategy or the in phrase at the moment having a “roadmap”, and this is very true. Lots of businesses (including mine at times) just post to social media because the feel they have to, and that can work and is ok, but there should always be engagement read our 10 minute social engagement strategy , you have to do what is right for your business.

If you think about your Roadmap we also call it a customer journey, you must have a goal or destination at the end but there is never really an end. It could be your destination is to hit a financial target or number of customers in a year, I know one very successful business that uses weekly staff hours and this works very well for them. What ever metrics you use its yours to decide. Once you have you destination and timeframe, you need to work how to get there one really simple tool we use is a Most wanted list. Its a simple form that we list 10 businesses that we would love to work with.

Once you have completed the list we follow and like on social media and then just engage with them so that they can find us some people will stalk them on socials but this is not the way, engage and comment and as long as they know you are there if they are looking for your service they will find you. Its just about being on someones radar and the most wanted list is just an aid to remind you who to keep engaging with.
